Up to €50,000 of funding is available to teams, which offers the means to jumpstart promising co-created concepts, and receive support from experts towards the development of a prototype as a possible go-to-market trajectory. Co-applicants will be promoted as pioneers of ethical and sustainable wearables, and e-textiles. Selected finalists will be invited to pitch to a panel of experts in the week of 21st – 23rd June 2017. Winners will be notified by 30th June 2017. Teams must be prepared to work together on their prototypes from the 1st July 2017, over a period of 6-8 months.

Financé par la Commission européenne, Wear sustain —Wearable technologist engage with artists for responsible innovation— a pour objectif de rapprocher le monde de l'art et du design des industries technologiques. Pour participer, il faut une équipe d'artistes/designers souhaitant travailler avec des ingénieurs/entrepreneurs pour innover ensemble sur la thématique “Next generation wearables”. Les projets attendus sont des petits projets de réalisation de démontrateurs et prototypes correspondant de 6 à 8 mois de travail. Les financements à espérer sont de 50k€. Les équipes doivent à minima intégrer un technicien et un designer/artiste, avec une entité légale créée ou en cours de création.
